SNIFFLE BUDDIES® were invented to help tend the age old problem of kids wiping their noses on their sleeves.

When my son was only 2 he had a constant runny nose AND constant parental intervention trying to tend it. He was diagnosed with multiple environmental allergies. Being that he's part of a very outdoorsy family, the drip wiping was endless.

He & I both needed and alternative answer to the stream of endless tissues and interrupted playtimes. When he would go out to have some toddler fun, the trees, grass, dust, dirt, mold, etc. would bring on the itchy nose, eyes, and the drips. Next, his hands would go directly to his face ...sending all the playtime germs right into his system and the drips onto his hands or arm if Mom wasn't there to catch them.

Filling a two year old's pocket with tissue is a nobel thought to some, but not the least bit practical nor is it very eco-friendly when you consider most of the tissues end up partially used & on the ground or near the trash can. After tissue use his hands still needed washing to prevent the spread of germs so I would chase him with a trash bag and some antibacterial gel. The procedure proved to be endless and ineffective for "having fun" or averting germs....so the brainstorming began.

One day I put a wristband from my old college days on his arm and asked him to use that to wipe while he was playing and keep his hands off his face. It worked! I took it off as soon as he was finished having fun and threw it in the wash. A friend, and fellow mother of a 2 year old, said "hey, that's a product!". We researched to see where to buy a real 'drip tender' and found nothing...and so the journey began.

Many prototypes and test runs later ...there are Sniffle Buddies! They're not for everyone, but for those who have tried the chase and wipe with kids who are challenged by allergies...they sure are handy! Please don't be confused about their use. They're NEVER for blowing into, just for the drip. Having a little "buddy" on their arm can offer freedom to play and the idea of tissue use is ALWAYS part of the lesson.

Cough and sneeze into your elbow, blow your nose with a tissue, wash your hands frequently, and when you're headed out to a "hands free" moment in life and might have otherwise secretly utilized your sleeve or hand...make a more sanitary choice, Sniffle Buddies...then toss them in the wash!
